'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is presently halfway through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden important honor of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would definitely consider lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
